This April, many Vietnamese films will be released in theaters with diverse themes, bringing together many famous actors.

In the horror genre, Yin and Yang will be released in theaters at the end of March. The film is directed by Hoang Tuan Cuong, with a cast of Bach Cong Khanh, Tuan Dung, Lan Thy..., inspired by mysterious urban legends. In particular, the story of night ambulances and corpse-carrying vehicles always contains many unsolved mysteries.

Also in the horror genre, Headless Ghost directed by Bui Van Hai, revolves around the story of Tien (played by Tien Luat), a corpse collector living with his mentally ill mother, and Thanh (played by Ngo Kien Huy), an ambulance driver. The film premiered on April 18.

Another horror film is Detective Kien: The Headless Case by director Victor Vu, which premiered at the end of April, with a cast including: Quoc Huy (as Detective Kien), Dinh Ngoc Diep, Quoc Anh, Anh Pham, Minh Anh... The film is set in the Nguyen Dynasty about 200 years ago, when the character Detective Kien was invited to a village to investigate a mysterious disappearance.

In the family theme, there is Lat mat 8: Vong tay nang directed by Ly Hai, with actors: Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong, Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, Doan The Vinh, Long Dep Trai, Ngan Quynh, Le Tuan Khang... The film focuses on generational conflicts in the family. Ly Hai exploits a topic that fits the current context: Many young people dream of becoming idols, countless doors open for them to follow that path, but along with that comes increasing family conflicts.

Tunnels: The Sun in the Dark is the only work about the war to be released in April. The film is directed and written by Bui Thac Chuyen, set during the Vietnam War in 1967, with the participation of Thai Hoa, Quang Tuan, Ho Thu Anh, Diem Hang, Cao Minh..., and will be released from April 4. Director Bui Thac Chuyen said that veterans told him many stories about humanity in the midst of war, so that besides recreating the brutal truth of war, he also wants to tell about the indomitable and heroic qualities of the Vietnamese people.
