On May 25, the Da Nang Department of Tourism announced a list of qualified units to operate non-motorized paragliding services on Son Tra Peninsula.
Accordingly, there are 5 units that meet the safety measures prescribed in Article 9, Decree No. 168/2017/ND-CP dated December 31, 2017 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tourism for non-motorized paragliding service business activities at the paragliding site - Son Tra peninsula, Da Nang city.
Specifically: Central Paragliding Tourism Company Limited; Da Nang Bay Company Limited; Da Nang Paragliding Joint Stock Company; Tam Phat Travel Company Limited and Tropical Forest Service & Service Company Limited.
Da Nang Department of Tourism requests that during the process of service business activities, units must comply with the content of the official dispatch sent to the Department of Tourism regarding the notification of the organization of tourism product business activities of enterprises and Clause 1, Article 10, Decree 168/2017/ND-CP dated December 31, 2017 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tourism and other relevant provisions of law.
Currently, there are 5 companies operating this service in Son Tra peninsula.
It is known that the paragliding service business on Son Tra peninsula has been approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang city for a pilot project from June 2023. Currently, there are 5 companies operating this service on Son Tra peninsula.
According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, during peak season, the number of visitors registering to participate in the experience is on average about 900 visitors/month.
When experiencing the service, visitors will be picked up and down Son Tra peninsula, fly with professionally trained athletes, be served drinks and fruits during the participation, take souvenir photos, keep beautiful footage, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the entire Son Tra Nature Reserve, Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe beach and the whole view of Da Nang city from a bird's eye view.
At the end of the flight, visitors will be awarded a certificate of experience. Service prices range from 1,690,000 VND to 1,850,000 VND (including insurance package for customers).
Tourists enjoy experiencing non-motorized paragliding at Son Tra peninsula.
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the entire Son Tra Nature Reserve, Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe beach and the whole view of Da Nang city from a bird's eye view.
