One of the focuses of the event is to support small traders at traditional markets. Mr. Nguyen An Son, representative of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, said that the Department is building a digital transformation community and has released an online Handbook to provide knowledge. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tru, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, although the awareness of small traders has changed positively, the application is still limited. Mr. Tru hopes that the cooperation of units will help small traders integrate more deeply.
During the week, many practical activities were implemented. A cashless market gathered more than 80 OCOP booths, specialties and digital solutions. At the same time, livestream sessions promoting products took place simultaneously on TikTok and Shopee platforms with the participation of many KOLs. The organizers also implemented 3 specialized training courses on digital transformation skills for small traders and businesses.
Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Huong, in charge of e-commerce at Triet Minh Company Limited (Trimico) shared: “The training session provided the company with a lot of new knowledge and important skills. We will apply it to improve business efficiency.”
Mr. Vo Van Khanh, representative of the Vietnam E-commerce Association in the Central Highlands region, informed that support activities will be expanded from livestreaming to more comprehensive digital transformation. He affirmed that the program will not only be limited to markets but also support businesses on the streets.
The event is also where units sign a commitment to participate in the program "Digital transformation of traditional market traders towards sustainable e-commerce development", opening up a new direction for traditional business models in the digital age.
