The 2025 European Physics Olympiad was attended by 40 teams from 28 European countries and 12 guest countries. Cap Kim Hoang Bao, a student of class 11A3, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, won a bronze medal.
Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi praised and congratulated the achievements of Cap Kim Hoang Bao and teachers of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. According to the Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee, improving people's knowledge, nurturing talents and training human resources are among the city's key and top priority tasks.
In the 2024-2025 school year, with the attention of the city, all levels, all sectors and the continuous efforts of the team of teachers and students, the Da Nang education sector achieved many proud achievements; students won many awards at national and international competitions.

“This excellent achievement is first and foremost due to Cap Kim Hoang Bao's own efforts; the care and support of the school; the dedication and creativity in the teaching process of the teachers; and the care of the students' parents.
At the same time, it is a valuable achievement, honoring the tradition of studiousness of Da Nang, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position on the world knowledge map," Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the innovations of the education and training sector in selecting and nurturing excellent students; at the same time, he believed that the education sector would continue to write new miracles, fulfilling the mission of bringing the city's education to regional and international levels.
According to Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan, last school year, the entire education sector (including Da Nang (old) and Quang Nam province (old)) continued to effectively implement emulation movements, promote the application of information technology in management and teaching; focus on the selection, training and coaching of excellent and gifted students.
Thanks to that, the quality of education in all fields and levels is maintained; excellent students at city and national levels continue to achieve good results, and students participating in international exams achieve high results.
At the national excellent student exam for grade 12 high school students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the quality of Da Nang students' awards increased dramatically, in which Da Nang (old) won 70 awards (an increase of 9 awards compared to last year); Quang Nam province (old) won 70 awards (an increase of 12 awards compared to last year).

In particular, Da Nang (old) has Huynh Huy Hung and Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, class 12A4, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, winning second prize at the international science and technology competition in the United States; Tran Quang Nhat, class 12A2, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (old Da Nang) and twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau, class 11, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted (old Quang Nam province) excellently won gold medals at the second International Mathematical Olympiad held in Turkmenistan; Cap Kim Hoang Bao won bronze medals at the 2025 European Physics Olympiad.
On this occasion, 9 teachers who participated in training students to achieve results at the European Physics Olympiad were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
