The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Hanoi is an important political and social activity in the life of ethnic communities in the capital. The Congress continues to affirm the consistent policy of the Party and State on ethnic issues and national solidarity; arouse patriotism, build and consolidate trust, and create consensus among ethnic minorities in the Party and State's innovation policy.

The Congress has the task of summarizing and accurately assessing the achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, poverty reduction, and new rural construction in ethnic minority and mountainous areas since the 3rd Congress in 2019. From there, draw lessons, develop directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for ethnic work in localities and in Hanoi in the period of 2024 - 2029.

At the press conference, Head of the Hanoi Ethnic Committee Nguyen Nguyen Quan, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Congress Steering Committee, said that the Congress, with the theme "Hanoi's ethnic community unites, innovates, integrates, and develops", is scheduled to take place on November 4-5, 2024, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. The Congress will welcome 250 official delegates representing the ethnic communities in the capital.

The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Hanoi in 2024 demonstrates confidence and determination: Absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, promoting the achievements, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, uniting to strive to accelerate the development of ethnic and mountainous areas, contributing to building the capital Hanoi to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

At the press conference, representatives of nearly 40 central and Hanoi news agencies and newspapers discussed, raised questions, and clarified the results achieved in implementing ethnic work and ethnic policies in the recent period of Hanoi. Representatives of the Congress Steering Committee also discussed and fully answered the discussion contents.

Ethnic minorities in Hanoi live in communities in 119 villages, in 14 communes of 5 districts: Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, My Duc, Chuong My with over 55,000 people, mainly Muong and Dao ethnic groups, accounting for 51% of the city's ethnic minorities. Each ethnic group in Hanoi has its own customs, practices, and cultural nuances, creating diversity and richness in the Vietnamese ethnic culture...
