Americans worried because of series of strange drones appearing, Mr. Trump requested to shoot them down

In recent weeks, a large number of mysterious drones have been reported flying over areas of New Jersey, raising concerns about their origin and purpose. On the night of December 12 and the morning of December 13 alone, 79 strange drone sightings were reported in New Jersey, according to NBC .

Although New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and security officials say the drones pose no threat to public safety, lawmakers have called for tighter drone regulations. The FBI and other agencies are investigating and are asking the public to provide video , photos and information about the sightings.

Witnesses said they began seeing the drones in November, first in the Raritan River area, then in other locations, including near Picatinny Arsenal and President-elect Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster.

Drones have also been seen in coastal areas. Drone sightings have been reported in multiple states so far, not just New Jersey.

While many US officials say the drones are not dangerous, they are large (up to 6 feet) and sometimes fly without lights, making them difficult to detect using traditional methods like helicopters. Officials also question whether some witnesses may have mistaken planes or helicopters for drones.

There is currently no definitive information about who is operating these drones or where they are coming from. US officials also do not know if there is a single drone repeatedly appearing or if a group of drones are being controlled in a coordinated manner. Although there has been much speculation about an outside conspiracy, investigations have not found evidence to support this theory.

Trisha Bushey, 48, who lives in New Jersey, an area where many of the sightings have occurred, said she posted the photos online last month wondering what the objects were. After observing the way they moved and her son pointed out on a flight tracking website that there were no planes in the area, she was convinced they were drones.

Now she regularly visits Mystery Drones, a Facebook community dedicated to tracking drones that has more than 40,000 likes. “ Instead of Christmas shopping or cleaning the house, I check that page ,” says Trisha Bushey.

She doesn't believe Governor Murphy's claim that the drones don't pose a security threat: “ How can you say it doesn't pose a threat if you don't know what it is? I think that's why a lot of people feel uneasy ."

Seph Divine, 34, a member of a drone-hunting group based in Eugene, Oregon, feels it’s up to the people to solve this mystery. He said he tries to be a voice of reason, encouraging people to check information carefully and ask probing questions.

My main goal is not to get people into a panic, but I also want them to not ignore the issue. Whether it’s a foreign military, a secret outreach program, or something extraterrestrial, whatever it is, it’s very concerning when drone sightings happen suddenly and repeatedly over several hours ,” he said.

President-elect Donald Trump has also spoken out about the recent spate of strange drone sightings. He wrote on the social network Truth Social: " Mysterious drone sightings across the country, is this really happening and our government doesn't know about it? I don't think so! Inform the public now. If not, shoot them down!!! "
