The first sign that your baby is getting enough breast milk is that he or she is gaining weight properly. A breast milk feeding should last long enough, on average over 15 minutes. The time between feedings (when the baby cries for another feeding) is less than three hours, which is also a sign that the baby is not getting enough milk.
