(NLDO) - Khanh Le Pass connecting Nha Trang - Da Lat on National Highway 27C has been opened to one lane after 4 days of paralysis due to landslides.


On the morning of December 19, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam - Deputy Director of Road Management Area 3 (Vietnam Road Administration), said that the last traffic jam at Km43+300 on Khanh Le Pass, National Highway 27C through Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province officially opened to traffic with one lane at 2:30 a.m. on December 19.

According to Mr. Nam, the construction unit has been working continuously in 3 shifts, 4 crews and has handled large blocks of rock, so far Khanh Le Pass has opened to traffic in 1 lane. Currently, the unit has installed a warning system and assigned people to regulate traffic so that vehicles can pass one by one.

This landslide is the largest landslide located right at the corner of the elbow. This point has many orphaned rocks blocking the road, forcing the construction unit to blast the rocks.

One lane open at Khanh Le Pass

The Khanh Le Pass landslide on the morning of December 15 was a serious landslide with more than 100,000 cubic meters of rock and soil sliding down 6 points on the pass, causing traffic congestion.

Mr. Le Thuan Doan - Director of Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company - the unit that is currently repairing the landslide at Khanh Le Pass, said that since the landslide at Khanh Le Pass until now, the unit has dispatched more than 30 vehicles of equipment, with 2 construction teams from Nha Trang up, and from Lam Dong down with dozens of workers working 24/7.

The construction unit will continue to repair the damage to open 2 lanes as soon as possible.
