Ho Chi Minh City National University has just announced the equivalent conversion table between the capacity assessment test scores and the 2025 high school graduation exam scores in 4 subject groups: A00 (math, physics, chemistry); B00 (math, chemistry, biology); C01 (math, literature, physics); D01 (math, literature, English).
According to the equivalent conversion table of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the score range between the top % of the competency assessment scores is different when compared with each combination of high school graduation exam scores according to the subject groups. For example, candidates with 901-898 competency assessment points are in the top 15%, corresponding to 23.25-23.1 points in the A00 group high school graduation exam. However, when compared with the D01 group, the top 15% of the competency assessment test has a score of about 875-870, corresponding to 21.95-21.8 points in the high school graduation exam.

This year, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam attracted about 152,800 candidates. The average score of candidates in both rounds was 662.78 (on a scale of 1,200). The results were used by more than 110 universities and colleges for admission. In the Ho Chi Minh City National University system, all units use the results of this exam for admission. In particular, the University of Technology considers a combination of academic transcript scores, competency assessment, and high school graduation exam scores along with other achievements.
Currently, the conversion table of equivalent scores for the 2025 capacity assessment test and high school graduation exam scores has been sent by Ho Chi Minh City National University to member schools as a basis for converting university admission scores this year.
