(Dan Tri) - More than 40 senior leaders from 21 prestigious US universities will participate in a survey trip to Vietnam to establish new cooperative relationships and strengthen academic cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of US-Vietnam relations, the US Mission to Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Institute of International Education, announced the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP).
Accordingly, more than 40 senior leaders from 21 prestigious US universities will participate in a 5-day survey trip to Vietnam (from March 31 to April 4) to establish new cooperative relationships and strengthen academic cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
It is expected that representatives from Stanford University and about 20 prestigious American educational institutions will come to Vietnam to seek opportunities for cooperation and academic exchange (Photo: Stanford).
The higher education delegation represents prestigious public and private US educational institutions in 17 states, including research universities and community colleges such as Stanford University (ranked 6th in the QS 2025 rankings), Duke University, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Vermont...
During the study tour, the delegation will explore Vietnam's higher education system through campus visits, networking events and meetings with government and private sector stakeholders.
It is expected that many major universities in Vietnam will participate in the program such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Science (VNU Hanoi), National Economics University, University of Information Technology (VNU Ho Chi Minh City), Danang University, Can Tho University...
Commenting on the IAPP Program, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper said: "As we celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations, the US higher education delegation to Vietnam is a testament to the US's commitment to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Expanding educational partnerships is critical to the success of the US-Vietnam relationship. By connecting the top universities in both countries, we are opening up new opportunities for students and researchers to thrive in both countries."
A representative of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training affirmed: "The International Academic Cooperation Program in Vietnam marks a strong step forward in expanding educational cooperation, promoting innovation and enhancing student and faculty exchanges between the two countries."
