African swine fever appears in 12/25 hamlets in Nguyen Binh commune - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

As of July 31, 2025, the total number of sick pigs that had to be destroyed in Nguyen Binh commune was 557, with a total weight of 31,408 kg, of which 110 sows were destroyed and 447 pigs were slaughtered.

The Steering Committee for Animal Disease Prevention and Control of Nguyen Binh Commune inspected the work of preventing and controlling African swine fever in Na Khoang hamlet.

Faced with the complicated developments of African swine fever, the People's Committee of Nguyen Binh commune has implemented preventive measures to control and prevent the disease from spreading in the area. Established a Steering Committee for animal disease prevention and control in the commune; implemented measures to isolate, destroy and disinfect animals to prevent the spread of the disease; directed veterinary hygiene control work, closely coordinated with the Agricultural Service Station to monitor and guide people to strictly implement regulations on disease prevention and control. Propaganda work has been promoted to raise people's awareness, minimizing the risk of disease outbreak and spread in the community.

Since the beginning of the year, the commune has been regularly carrying out the work of cleaning and disinfecting barns. In the first 6 months of the year, it has distributed 153 liters of chemicals, sprayed 153,000m2 ^of barns; vaccinated 2,742 doses, reaching 121.4% of the plan. From July 1st to now, the commune has coordinated with the Department of Animal Husbandry and the Agricultural Service Station to support vaccination and distribution of vaccines to hamlets, residential groups, and livestock households with a total of 1,540 doses.
