Right from the opening night, the second Me Linh Flower Festival in 2024 attracted a large number of visitors from all over the country to visit and experience. The second Me Linh Flower Festival in 2024 will be held at the 10,000m² Me Linh District Administrative Square, about 40 minutes from the center of the capital. With the theme "Me Linh is brilliant with flowers", this year's Festival uses up to 200 tons of fresh flowers, creating an extremely brilliant and eye-catching space. Here, visitors can freely pose next to elaborate works of art such as: the road of love, the finale, the elephant palanquin of Ba Trung - Ba Trieu, ...
Ms. Nguyen Trung Luong (Mong Cai, Quang Ninh ) happily shared: “I have never seen a square with so many flowers and so many people. I feel very lucky. Thank you Me Linh”.
Sharing the same feelings with Ms. Luong, Le Van Kiet (Me Linh, Hanoi ) also felt that this year's flower festival was very beautiful: "This year's flower festival is very beautiful and has been invested in more than previous years. I really like to admire the elaborately decorated areas."
During the 4 days of Me Linh Flower Festival, there were many exciting and meaningful activities such as: "Flower bicycle decoration contest from recycled materials"; painting contest; gluing and assembling "giant" flower paintings; English festival activities for students; Ao Dai performance; "Elegant Student" contest; special art programs of industries and organizations, etc.
In particular, the Festival also has a fair "Promoting trade in association with promoting tourism and local culture in Me Linh district" with more than 100 booths displaying and introducing typical specialties and OCOP products of Hanoi and 30 provinces and cities nationwide, bringing a variety of experiences for tourists traveling in groups and families.
One of the important goals of the Me Linh Flower Festival is to preserve and promote the values of the local flower growing craft village. Through the Festival, people have the opportunity to introduce typical flower products and unique flower growing techniques, contributing to promoting the Me Linh flower brand to domestic and foreign friends.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Secretary of Me Linh District Party Committee, the first Festival attracted more than 100,000 participants. Through each festival season, the value of Me Linh flowers has increased, Me Linh flowers have been introduced to many domestic and international friends.
The second Me Linh Flower Festival will last until December 29, 2024, and is open to visitors from all over the world for free. Families who do not have time to travel far but still want to enjoy a new space can choose to come to Me Linh this weekend.
