Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, General Director of EVNHCMC said that in the 2020-2025 term, with the spirit of proactiveness, innovation and creativity, the EVNHCMC Party Committee has achieved and exceeded most of the targets and tasks set out at the beginning of the term.
Specifically, EVNHCMC has ensured stable, continuous and safe electricity supply, fully meeting the city's electricity demand in the 2020-2025 period; especially during the period of social distancing due to COVID-19, actively contributing to the city's economic recovery and development in the new normal period. EVNHCMC has completed with the highest results all production - business - investment and construction targets according to the plan assigned by EVN.
By the end of 2024, a number of economic and technical indicators have reached the target ahead of schedule by 2025 and are on par with the region. 100% of customer services are performed in a digital environment, through a multi-channel call center between customers and the electricity company. The Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation Fanpage received a green tick after 5 months of operation, becoming an effective customer interaction channel.
The enterprise has completed the system of measuring, collecting and analyzing electricity usage through smart meters (AMR) with the installation of 100% of electronic meters with remote data collection function, helping customers to monitor electricity quality and daily electricity consumption via the app. EVNHCMC is also the first enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country, and also the first unit in the electricity industry to conduct an assessment of the level of digital transformation of enterprises. In 2024, EVNHCMC achieved an advanced level of digital transformation (level 4/5).
The unit has also completed the smart grid development plan for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, on schedule. In the process of comprehensive digital transformation and smart grid development, EVNHCMC was honored to receive the ASEAN Creative Enterprise Award 2022 with the project "Smart Grid Development at EVNHCMC".

EVNHCMC has consecutively won two international awards for "Smart Grid". This is an important achievement that contributes to the international recognition of EVNHCMC's technological solutions as well as affirms the effective development of smart grid at EVNHCMC.
Investment and construction work continued to be focused on and directed strongly in conjunction with the digital transformation model, achieving many positive results. During the term, a number of key projects were successfully energized, such as the Tan Cang 220 kV transformer station, the Cat Lai - Tan Cang 220 kV line, the Cau Bong - Binh Tan 220/110 kV line (phase 1), the 220 kV branch of the Tan Son Nhat 220 kV station, etc. At the same time, the scale was expanded and the level of modernization of the city's power grid was improved, especially the underground power grid project on Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district.
In the 2025-2030 term, EVNHCMC sets the goal of improving the quality of electricity supply and customer service. In particular, EVNHCMC strives to become a digital technology enterprise that develops on par with power companies in advanced countries in the region and the world, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City to develop rapidly, sustainably, civilized, modern, with a high quality of life.
