(NLDO) - From January 8, traffic organization in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City will be adjusted to serve the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Marathon in 2025.
To ensure traffic order and safety (TTATGT) within the framework of the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Marathon 2025 (HCMC Marathon 2025), the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Ho Chi Minh City Police announces the adjustment of traffic organization on some key routes as follows:
Many roads in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City adjust traffic to serve the race.
Starting areas for 10 km, 21 km and 42.195 km distances
From 0:00 on January 8 to 23:00 on January 12: Temporarily stop traffic on Le Duan Street, from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia to Pasteur, to construct the main stage for the race.
From 0:10-1 to 23:00: Temporarily stop traffic on Le Duan Street, from Pasteur to Cong Xa Paris, to serve the starting and finishing areas of the distances.
Alternative route:
Direction 1: Han Thuyen – Cong Xa Paris – Le Duan. Direction 2: Alexandre de Rhodes – Pham Ngoc Thach – Le Duan. At the same time, a part of Pasteur Street (from Han Thuyen to Alexandre de Rhodes) will be temporarily closed to traffic under the guidance of the authorities.
Alternative route:
Direction 1: Pasteur – Nguyen Du – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Hung Vuong (towards District 5, District 6). Direction 2: Pasteur – Nguyen Du – Truong Dinh – Dien Bien Phu (towards District 1, District 3, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc City).
Vo Van Kiet route (section from Nguyen Van Cu to Saigon River tunnel)
From 3:00 to 9:30 on January 12: Two-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from traveling from Nguyen Van Cu to the Saigon River tunnel.
Alternative route:
Direction 1: Vo Van Kiet – Nguyen Van Cu – Tran Hung Dao – District 1. Direction 2: Nguyen Van Cu – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – District 3.
During the race, vehicles will be restricted from traveling on the routes of the 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.195 km distances. Vehicles will travel on the remaining roads under the guidance of the authorities.
Distance 42.195 km: Start at 3am, road closed at 9:30am on January 12. The route starts from Le Duan, passes through Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Sieu, Thai Van Lung, Cao Ba Quat, Dong Khoi, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Van Cu, Saigon River Tunnel, Mai Chi Tho, Nguyen Co Thach, before returning to the finish line at 30-4 Park.
21.1 km distance: Start at 3:30 am, road closure at 7:00 am on January 12, 2025. The route starts from Le Duan, passes through Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Sieu, Cao Ba Quat, Dong Khoi, Vo Van Kiet, Saigon River tunnel, Mai Chi Tho, Nguyen Co Thach and returns to the finish line at 30-4 Park.
10 km distance: Starts at 4:15 am, closes at 6:15 am on January 12. The route starts from Le Duan, passes through Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Sieu, Cao Ba Quat, Dong Khoi, Vo Van Kiet, and finishes at 30/4 Park.
