(Fatherland) - In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival, on the morning of April 19, 2024, in front of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, a delegation of village elders, village chiefs, and artisans of Vietnamese ethnic groups held a ceremony to report their achievements to Uncle Ho.
As part of the series of events of "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day" in 2024, on the morning of April 19, a delegation of village elders, village chiefs, and outstanding artisans visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum to offer incense, flowers, and report their achievements to Uncle Ho.
Attending the delegation were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy; Acting Head of the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village Trinh Ngoc Chung, along with 200 delegates representing the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of central provinces/cities; village elders, village chiefs, artisans and prestigious people with many achievements in the activities of preserving and maintaining traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the locality; artisans, ethnic groups representing the group currently operating daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village.
Delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.
Village elder Ho Van Hanh, Ta Oi ethnic group, Thua Thien Hue province, represented the group of village elders, village chiefs, and outstanding artisans to report to Uncle Ho.
The delegation of village elders, village chiefs, and outstanding artisans representing 54 ethnic groups reported their achievements to Uncle Ho.
Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with a delegation of village elders, village chiefs, and outstanding artisans, visited President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention to ethnic issues, ethnic affairs and the people of all ethnic groups in Vietnam. His feelings and heart had great motivation for the people of all ethnic groups. And he himself set a shining example of solidarity and assistance to the people of ethnic minorities.
In his thoughts, there was always a consistent, clear view: “Our country is a unified country consisting of many ethnic groups. The ethnic groups living in Vietnam are equal in rights and obligations. The ethnic groups in our country are closely linked to each other on a common territory and have gone through a long history of working and fighting together to build a beautiful Fatherland... Our ethnic policy is to achieve equality and mutual assistance among ethnic groups to advance together towards socialism”.
After reporting and visiting President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, the delegation visited the Presidential Palace relic site.
Delegates heard stories about where Uncle Ho lived and worked.
Many people were moved when listening to the tour guide tell about the last days of Uncle Ho's life and work.
The delegation visited historical sites associated with the last years of Uncle Ho's life.
People of all ethnic groups were able to review valuable documents about Uncle Ho.
