Delegation of Hai Duong province offered incense and flowers at Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple in Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site (Ho Chi Minh City)

The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Luong Van Viet, Director of the Department of Education and Training, along with leaders of a number of departments and branches, and 25 veteran delegates who directly participated in and contributed to the victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

Cu Chi Tunnels were built at the end of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, on the land known as "steel land" to praise the indomitable will of the army and people here.

Formed during the resistance war against French colonialism (around 1948), the tunnel system here was built entirely by human power, with rudimentary tools and based on traditional experience and folk knowledge in wartime circumstances.

Here, the armed forces and people of Cu Chi lived, took shelter, and were attached to the tunnels with sweat, blood and intelligence, organizing battle fields to fight the enemy and gain many glorious victories during the two resistance wars against France and the US.

Currently, the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Relic Site is a place to educate revolutionary traditions and patriotism, to demonstrate the morality of remembering the source of water, and to show gratitude to the great contributions of heroes and martyrs who fought and sacrificed in the land of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh in the two wars of national liberation.
