Delegation of former provincial leaders visited comrade Nong Hong Thai, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee

On the afternoon of September 9, a delegation of former leaders of the Party Central Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited comrade Nong Hong Thai, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Accompanying them were comrades: Tran Hong Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Funeral Committee; Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

At the funeral, the delegation respectfully expressed their condolences, shared the loss with the family, offered wreaths and burned incense to pay respect to comrade Nong Hong Thai. In a solemn and infinitely sorrowful atmosphere, former provincial leaders observed a minute of silence to pay tribute, remember, express gratitude and respect to comrade Nong Hong Thai.

As the head of the province, Comrade Nong Hong Thai has made great contributions to the development of his homeland and country. He has devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Although he was allowed to retire by the Party and the State, with the spirit of a communist, he has always paid attention to, devoted his efforts, offered advice and contributed many valuable ideas to the development of his province.

After a period of illness, despite the devoted care and treatment of doctors and family, due to old age and poor health, he passed away at 10:30 a.m. on September 6, 2023 (July 22, Quy Mao year), at the age of 90. The funeral will be held at 7:00 a.m. on September 10, 2023, at the family cemetery (Ngoc Xuan ward, Cao Bang city).

Comrade Nong Hong Thai is a senior official, under the direct management of the Politburo and the Secretariat. Previously, the province issued a decision to establish a Funeral Organizing Committee consisting of 29 comrades, headed by Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh, to work with the family and local authorities to organize the funeral to ensure safety, solemnity, thoughtfulness, and compliance with regulations.
