Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is ready for inauguration day

After more than 3 years of construction with a total investment of more than 6,810 billion VND, Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridge connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces is about to be inaugurated and put into use.

After more than 3 years of construction with a total investment of more than 6,810 billion VND, Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridge connecting Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces is about to be inaugurated and put into use.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, with a length of over 1,971m, crosses the Tien River, about 4km upstream from the current Rach Mieu Bridge. The project is designed as a 4-lane plain level III road, with a total length of about 17.6km.

Currently, the asphalt concrete paving work has been completed. A load test was conducted with 28 trucks weighing 25-30 tons to ensure safety before putting into operation.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ), the project is currently on track to complete almost all items, 6 months ahead of schedule, and will be inaugurated and put into operation before September 2.
