In addition, delegates and fishermen were also informed of the contents and plans for implementing the recommendations of the European Commission; new legal regulations related to combating IUU fishing; detailed instructions on new features of the electronic seafood traceability software system (eCDT VN); a number of new regulations related to the fisheries sector: Monitoring output at ports, classification; recording fishing logs, issuing fishing licenses, issuing certificates, confirming the origin of exploited seafood. Accordingly, vessels with a length of 6 m to less than 12 m must record fishing reports, vessels with a length of 12 m or more must record fishing logs according to regulations before entering the port for unloading to prevent and combat fraud in fishing output and traceability of seafood.

In addition, instructions on identifying some major aquatic species in the work of confirming and certifying aquatic materials originating from exploitation are provided. At the same time, fishermen and vehicle owners are instructed to practice software on phones and computers, update vehicle registration on VNeID for management by competent authorities according to regulations.

Representatives of the authorities also explained the difficulties of fishermen in applying new regulations on fishing and preventing IUU fishing, thereby hoping that fishermen will strictly implement the regulations to contribute to removing the "Yellow Card" for sustainable development of the fishing industry in the coming time.
