On August 6, booking data on digital travel platform Agoda just announced the latest ranking of "Returning Destinations" with Da Nang being rated as one of the most attractive cities in Asia.

According to Agoda booking data in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam has risen to third place in the top 5 Asian countries with the highest number of returning guests, behind only Japan and Thailand, and surpassing Malaysia and Indonesia.

Notably, Da Nang appeared for the first time in the top 10 Asian cities with the highest rate of returning visitors, marking a remarkable step forward as last year Vietnam had no representative on the list.

The vibrant coastal city of central Vietnam has officially entered the group of most attractive destinations in Asia, reflecting the growing appeal of the S-shaped land on the regional tourism map.

The top 5 destinations that tourists return to the most in Vietnam in the first half of this year include Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Quoc. While the three coastal paradises captivate visitors with their fine white sand beaches, clear blue water and sunny resorts, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi attract visitors with their vibrant lifestyle, cultural depth and colorful local cuisine map, creating a harmonious combination of relaxation and local experiences.

These destinations have such a special appeal that one visit is not enough. Many visitors choose to return to continue their unfinished journey, to find memorable experiences, or simply to enjoy the familiar feeling of a place that has left emotional marks.

Data from Agoda shows that many travelers returned to the same location multiple times in the first half of the year alone, clearly demonstrating the appeal of destinations with their own unique stamp.

Agoda Country Director in Vietnam Vu Ngoc Lam shared that from the modern urban lifestyle to the wonderful beauty of sunny beaches, Vietnam offers rich and unique experiences that are enough to keep visitors coming back again and again.

"Vietnam's presence in the group of destinations with the most returning tourists in Asia is a positive signal reflecting the country's diverse and growing appeal," Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam emphasized.

In addition to Vietnam, the ranking also revealed destinations that attract visitors to return many times such as Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), Bali (Indonesia), Osaka (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan-China), Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru (Malaysia) and Hong Kong (China). Each location has its own charm, from unique cuisine to vibrant culture, making every journey always have something new to discover.
