A place for young MCs to take flight

After more than 1 month of activities of the Young MC Club organized by Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television, 40 young members of the Club have had interesting and useful experiences. From here, the children can discover their hidden potential, as well as further develop their love for the job of MC.

Every activity is a joy

After more than 12 activities, the children from 6 to 14 years old in the MC Club have had their own small joys. Having the opportunity to follow the members of the Club from the very beginning, we have felt the progress as well as the ability to "surpass themselves" of each child. If in the beginning, some children were still shy, not used to standing on stage to speak in front of many people, some children showed their qualities, but still spontaneously, some children came to class simply because they listened to their parents... then after just over a month, when we met the faces of the MC children again in studio A to participate in the recording session, we were really surprised by the changes in each child. In the middle of the real studio surrounded by cameras, screens, lights, stage backdrops..., each child had to present a news report on a topic of interest to them. And when the signal to start leading was given, the children seemed to become a different version with confidence and high concentration to complete their leading part well. Although there were still some stumbling parts; there were situations where the gestures and actions were not yet perfect; there were some children who were nervous..., but with the encouragement and enthusiastic guidance of the teachers and staff, they were able to overcome them to have really fluent and smooth leading parts.

Two members of the Young MC Club confidently participated in filming at the studio of Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television.

Every Saturday and Sunday, each activity of the MC Junior Club takes place according to the motto of learning while playing, playing while learning, so the children always come to class in a happy and comfortable mood. With the guidance of young, talented and enthusiastic MCs, announcers and editors of Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television such as: Thanh Tra, My Hang, Than Thi, Hong Anh, Quynh Mai, Hoang Linh, Anh Tuan, Minh Thu..., each child not only learns knowledge and skills to introduce themselves impressively, how to read a news report in an attractive way, but more importantly, they have had meaningful activities to learn more about their own abilities.

“The Junior MC Club is a place where I can express my confidence, courage and satisfy my passion for the job of a program host. In just a short time, with the guidance of the teachers and staff of Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television, and the comments of my friends in the Club, I have seen a lot of progress in my pronunciation, enunciation, and the way I organize my thoughts in each word, as well as expressing my emotions and expressions,” said Le Viet Ha, a member of the Junior MC Club.

Nguyen Thien Quan shared: “Joining the Junior MC Club, I got to meet and interact with many new friends and learn many useful things. Through this, I learned how to improvise on stage or when speaking in front of many people. After joining the Club, I feel more confident when standing in front of the camera and when talking about a certain content, I can express my thoughts more clearly. I had meaningful days to confidently participate in school activities when entering the new school year.”

Arouse interest

Along with the contest "Searching for young MC talents", the activities of the Young MC Club are considered one of the steps of Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television on the journey to shape the brand in the new period. There, the unit's activities will be associated with 4 pillars: People's heart - People's intelligence - People's spirit - People's livelihood. Therefore, events and activities towards the community, for the benefit of the community, promoting the development of the community in a long-term and sustainable way will be focused on by Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television. With that meaning, the unit has established and put into operation the Young MC Club to create a healthy, joyful and useful playground for teenagers and children.

“The children participating in the Junior MC Club up to this point have all demonstrated their abilities and passion for the MC job. Through this, each child has discovered their own hidden potential and the Club is a place for each child to express those potentials. One very happy thing about working with the children in the Club is that they all listen very well and absorb our instructions and guidance, so they have made rapid and obvious progress every day,” said MC Hong Anh.

Although it was only organized for the first time, with 40 members, the activities of the MC Junior Club have left a good impression on parents. Ms. Tran Thuong (parent of Mai Ngoc An Hoa) said: “I decided to let my child join the MC Junior Club because I see this as a useful playground for my child to experience during the summer. Besides, I also see that the Club not only helps my child practice skills when participating in filming and recording, but also gives him practical experience as a TV MC with modern machinery, equipment, and studios. From there, it helps my child to be bold and confident in communication to apply to his studies. Before joining the Club, my child was shy, but now he is bold and confident in speaking in front of many people and is willing to share his thoughts. I hope the Club will continue to maintain and open more classes so that more children can experience and practice their skills.”

According to Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang - Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television, the establishment of the Young MC Club is to contribute to creating a favorable environment for young students to have more places to participate in cultural and artistic activities, forming and developing soft skills, especially program hosting skills. Over the time of operation, the Club has demonstrated the meaning of a useful playground, helping children express themselves confidently and professionally.
