Oc Eo Commune focuses on implementing August tasks

On August 6, the Standing Committee of the Oc Eo Commune Party Committee (An Giang Province) held a monthly press conference to summarize the implementation of tasks in July, set out directions and tasks for August 2025 and prepare for the first Party Congress of the commune, term 2025 - 2030. Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Oc Eo Commune Pham Thanh Duoc chaired the conference.

In July, the commune harvested 3,938 hectares out of a total of 5,299 hectares of summer-autumn rice, reaching 74.3%; rice yield fluctuated at 6 - 6.5 tons/ha, selling price from 5,600 to 6,800 VND/kg. Social security work continued to be focused on with regular payments of subsidies in July to 1,175 beneficiaries, totaling more than 897 million VND. In the field of administrative reform, the Commune Public Administration Service Center received 1,046 applications, of which 1,042 applications were returned on time, reaching a rate of 99.62%.

In August 2025, Oc Eo commune focused on implementing key tasks: Reviewing silted canals to make a list of dredging; developing a plan to mobilize socialization to install LED lighting systems along Provincial Road 943 and inter-hamlet roads; completing and approving the decision to allocate the commune budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025.

The commune focuses on preparing for the Action Month for Education and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, checking the conditions of facilities, teaching staff, and teaching equipment. Continuing to implement social security policies well, taking care of people with revolutionary contributions. Increasing the rate of people participating in health insurance to at least 95% by the end of the year...

Concluding the conference, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Oc Eo Commune Pham Thanh Duoc requested all cadres and party members to promote the spirit of solidarity, uphold responsibility and determination to excellently complete the goals and tasks set out in August. Relevant departments carefully prepare all conditions to successfully organize the 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025 - 2030.
