FedEx Corporation has just released its annual economic impact report, analyzing the scale of FedEx's global network and emphasizing the role of the business in promoting the development of local communities in fiscal year 2024.


Conducted in consultation with Dun & Bradstreet (NYSE: DNB), a leading provider of business data and analytics, the report highlights the “FedEx Effect” in accelerating the movement of goods and offers a range of business support initiatives that contribute to economic growth in countries and regions.

FedEx has an extensive transportation network around the world, providing delivery services to more than 220 countries and territories. In addition, FedEx has more than 500,000 employees, working in more than 5,000 branches worldwide and transporting an average of 16 million packages per day. According to the report, FedEx contributed more than $85 billion in direct impact to the global economy in fiscal year 2024, accounting for about 0.1% of the total global net economic output. In fiscal year 2024, FedEx is estimated to have directly contributed 0.2% of the total net economic output of the transportation, storage and communications industry in the Asia- Pacific (APAC) region. In addition, FedEx is estimated to indirectly contribute about $1.7 billion to the APAC economy in fiscal year 2024.

In the Vietnamese market - an important country in the development orientation to become a global manufacturing center in the fields of technology equipment, semiconductors, textiles and many other fields, FedEx has added 4 weekly flights from Ho Chi Minh City to FedEx's APAC hub in Guangzhou (China). The new flights help shorten the shipping time, allowing Vietnamese exporting companies to access other major markets in the Asian region within 1 day and some European markets in just 2 working days.
