The final match and award ceremony of the National Final Round of "Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2024" took place this evening, November 3, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology Stadium.
The final match was dramatic between the Quang Ninh Trade Union team (blue shirt) and Sacombank Binh Duong (red shirt).
In the first minutes of the first half, the Quang Ninh Trade Union team created more good opportunities and scored first against Sacombank Binh Duong. However, in the 38th and 56th minutes, Sacombank Binh Duong equalized and scored more goals to take the lead 1-2.
Entering the second half, the match became more exciting and dramatic when the Quang Ninh Trade Union team equalized the score 2-2.
At the end of 90 minutes, the two teams were forced to enter a penalty shootout to find the champion. A surprise was that player Minh Duc was sent down by the Quang Ninh Trade Union to take the penalty shootout instead of the main goalkeeper.
Minh Duc made excellent saves on 2 shots, thereby helping Quang Ninh Trade Union beat Sacombank Binh Duong 4-3, convincingly winning the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Championship.

The third place match also took place this afternoon between Khanh Hoa Trade Union and Hai Phong Trade Union. Winning with an overwhelming score of 4-1, Khanh Hoa Trade Union finished third in the season.
The national final champion team receives 150 million VND, the second place team receives 100 million VND, the third place team receives 60 million VND, and the fourth place team receives 40 million VND.
In addition, the National Finals also have many other awards such as: best player, top scorer, best goalkeeper, fairest team, most impressive cheering team, best referee team. Each award is worth 10 million VND.
The 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre Newspaper. After more than a month of competition in 4 qualifying rounds in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Nghe An, Bac Ninh with 54 teams, 104 matches with 498 goals scored. The 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament has found the 16 best teams to participate in the National Finals.
Quang Ninh Trade Union celebrates championship
The national finals will be held for 3 consecutive days from November 1 to 3 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology Stadium. 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups: Groups A, B, C and D, competing in a round robin to determine rankings. The first and second place teams in the 4 groups will compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
In addition to organizing football matches, the Organizing Committee also carries out supporting activities to serve workers, employees, players and fans such as: free examination and consultation on sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases, combined with prescription drug distribution; daily lucky draw... in the area around the stadium.
The 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is organized to contribute to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers and civil servants in particular and the whole society in general, towards celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the 50th anniversary of the founding of Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
