Wimbledon Court 1 is set to explode with excitement today as a new and surprising face makes an appearance: Carson Branstine. Carson Branstine is an American-born Canadian professional tennis player who represented the United States before moving to Canada in 2017.
The professional tennis player and model created a stir in the SW19 qualifiers when she overcame three tough matches, notably a convincing victory over Lois Boisson - a player who reached the Roland Garros semi-finals.
Branstine is currently ranked 197th in the world and will face top seed Aryna Sabalenka in her opening match. Thanks to her modeling career, Carson Branstine (24) has been able to pay for her participation in the WTA Tour. She is not shy about sharing her love of balancing both careers:
"I love being in front of the camera on photo shoots. It's fun, I love fashion . It's one of the main reasons I can pay for my own travel. I don't want to ask my parents for money. I want everything to come from me and from tennis," Branstine told Clay Tennis.

She also revealed an interesting perspective: "I was not signed by these companies because of tennis, but because of my appearance."
Despite struggling with injuries and being out of action for five years, Branstine could make a big splash at Wimbledon if he can do the unthinkable and beat Sabalenka.

In addition to his talent on the field and his beauty in front of the camera, Branstine is also an excellent student. Carson Branstine graduated from Texas A&M University.
She holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences, ethics, and law, and minored in philosophy and sports management. She also previously studied at the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of Virginia.
