On the evening of January 15, the Vietnamese women's futsal team faced the Myanmar women's futsal team in a match within the framework of Group D, the 2025 Asian women's futsal qualifiers. This is an opponent that coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's team defeated at the Southeast Asian championship. Therefore, Tran Thi Thuy Trang and her teammates were very confident when entering the opening match.

Right after the opening whistle, the Vietnamese women's futsal team pushed their formation to attack. When the match had not lasted for 2 minutes, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's team scored the opening goal. Tran Thuy Thi Trang was the one who took a corner kick and passed the ball to the second line for K'Thua to shoot a dangerous shot, putting the Vietnamese women's futsal team ahead.

In the 9th minute, the Vietnamese women's futsal team organized a quick counterattack, Bui Thi Trang ran up to face and shoot, creating a favorable opportunity for Nguyen Phuong Anh to double the gap. In the 12th minute, Tran Thi Thu Xuan had a great handling of the ball and flipped it into the middle, before making a decisive shot to increase the score to 3-0.

Also in the 12th minute, Ya Min Thant Zin had a sudden move to get past many opposing players, before juggling the ball over the head of the Vietnamese goalkeeper to shorten the score to 1-3. In the 14th minute, the Vietnamese women's futsal team re-established a 3-goal gap. The Vietnamese girls had a great coordination situation, Thanh Hang fought for the ball and assisted Nguyen Phuong Anh to run in and cushion the ball, raising the score to 4-1.

In the 34th minute, K'Thua continued to score, widening the gap to 5-1. K'Thua scored a brace on the opening day of the Vietnamese girls. This was also the final score of the match.

In the second match of Group D, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will face the Macau women's futsal team on January 18.

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship Qualifiers kick off on January 11, 2025, with 18 teams competing. Three teams are exempted from the qualifiers, including the hosts of the finals - China, and the two finalists of the previous tournament, Japan and Iran.

The 18 teams are divided into four groups, including two groups of four teams (groups B and D) and two groups of five teams (groups A and C). Group A will play in Thailand, group B in Indonesia, group C in Uzbekistan and group D in Myanmar. After the qualifying round, each group will select the first and second teams to participate in the final round. Along with that, the third-placed team with the best results will participate in the final round taking place in May 2025.
