After a week of training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, on the morning of July 21, the Vietnamese women's team moved to Cam Pha ( Quang Ninh ), officially entering an important training phase to prepare for the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, which will kick off in early August.

Here, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have 10 days of high-intensity training. The training content will be gradually increased in volume, focusing on strengthening specialized physical strength, improving performance and perfecting tactical pieces.

This is considered an "acceleration" stage, decisive to the team's competitiveness in the increasingly fierce regional tournament.

In the first training session on the morning of July 21, the whole team practiced for more than an hour on Tuan Mai beach. Despite the light rain due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha), the players were still in high spirits.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and the coaching staff have designed exercises that alternate physical activity with cohesive games, creating a fun atmosphere while still ensuring professional effectiveness.

Changing training locations not only helps players "relax" mentally, but also provides an opportunity to refresh the amount of exercise, avoiding boredom during training.

According to the plan, the team will have one more training session on the beach, then the rest of the time will be deployed at Cam Pha grass field. Here, coach Mai Duc Chung will continue to review the squad, test personnel and adjust tactics to find the optimal framework for the upcoming tournament.

Speaking to the media before the training session, Coach Mai Duc Chung hoped that winning the right to participate in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals would motivate his players to compete with more determination in this year's Southeast Asian tournament. He also emphasized that this tournament is expected to be much more difficult, as regional opponents are investing heavily and making significant progress.

After finishing the training session in Cam Pha on July 30, the Vietnamese women's team will move to Hai Phong , where the tournament will take place from August 6 to August 19.

A day earlier, coach Mai Duc Chung and captain Huynh Nhu will go to Australia to attend the draw for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals on July 29, an important event marking the next step in the journey to conquer the continental playground of Vietnamese women's football.
