Rematching the Indonesian team in the second round of the SEA V.League volleyball tournament, coach Tran Dinh Tien made some changes to the starting lineup of the Vietnamese volleyball team compared to the first round. Accordingly, in addition to Quan Trong Nghia, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Duy Tuyen, there were new players with good form and fitness such as Nguyen Thanh Hai, Pham Quoc Du. Pham Van Hiep could not help the Vietnamese team defeat Indonesia.

Coach Tran Dinh Tien's adjustments such as sending Pham Van Hiep and Xuan Truong onto the field helped the Vietnamese volleyball team balance the game with the host Indonesia. Van Hiep had an impressive scoring streak, helping the Vietnamese team create a 3-point gap (15/12). The Indonesian players persisted in equalizing 17/17 and then 20/20, but Van Hiep and Xuan Truong shined, helping the Vietnamese team score 4 consecutive points, leading 24/20 and then winning 25/22, excellently equalizing the score 1-1.

The third game was exciting and tense as the Indonesian and Vietnamese players created a fierce competition with many excellent scoring and saving moves. Pham Van Hiep continued to be the main scorer for the Vietnamese team in this game, but the home team's players played explosively at the decisive moment, winning 25/22, taking the lead 2-1.

High morale helped Rivan of the Indonesian team play "sublimely" in game 4, creating an overwhelming position and winning with a score difference of 25/15 against the Vietnamese team, thereby closing the final victory 3-1.

Winning all 3 points against the Vietnamese team, the Indonesian team rose to the top of the rankings with 5 points. The Vietnamese team and the Thai team both had 3 points, sharing second and third place. However, the loss to Indonesia put the Vietnamese team at a disadvantage in the championship race. At 7 p.m. tomorrow (July 18), the Vietnamese volleyball team will compete in the third round of the second round of the SEA V.League, facing the champion of the first round, the Thai team.
