According to the training plan, the Vietnamese team has 3 "closed" friendly matches with opponents in Korea. However, the coaching staff has been in a "half-crying, half-laughing" situation in the past few days. In all previous training sessions, Vietnamese people studying and living in Korea were present to encourage and support the players. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) happily welcomed the fans.
According to the coaching staff’s professional requirements, the matches must be kept absolutely confidential in terms of information and images. However, with the desire to watch the matches, many overseas Vietnamese and international students still came to the training ground. VFF had to ask the fans to leave the competition area and interact with the players after the training period.

Through the matches, the Vietnamese team initially brought confidence to the fans. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team defeated Ulsan Citizen (K.League 3) and Daegu FC (K.League 1) with the same score of 2-0. Strikers such as Tien Linh and Tuan Hai both scored, easing the worries about the attack.
On the afternoon of November 30, after a series of intense training days in Gyeongju, the Vietnamese team visited the ancient Bulguksa Temple (Buddhist Temple), one of the most famous and oldest temples in Korea. The visit was like a spiritual therapy to help the whole team relax and replenish positive energy after a series of intense training days with high density.
The Vietnamese team will face Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in a friendly match on December 1. After returning home, coach Kim Sang-sik will finalize the list of 26 players participating in the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
