The Chemistry project "Zinc oxide nano-particle system for self-cleaning and antibacterial applications" by two students from An Duong High School (Hai Phong) was selected to participate in the 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
On March 27, according to the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, the Chemistry Project "Zinc oxide nano-particle system for self-cleaning and antibacterial applications" by two students from An Duong High School was selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The competition was held from May 10 to 16 in Columbus, Ohio (USA). The two students from An Duong High School who carried out the project were Nguyen Anh Tho and Chu Duc Thinh, and the instructor was Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung.
The Chemistry project "Zinc oxide nano-particle system for self-cleaning and antibacterial applications" is one of 9 projects nationwide selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to compete internationally.
The leader of the city's Department of Education and Training shared: This is not only good news for An Duong High School but also good news for the entire Hai Phong education sector because this is the first project of non-specialized students selected to compete internationally.
Previously, at the National Science and Technology Research Competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year, the Hai Phong student delegation participated in 3 projects, winning 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 1 third prize. The first prize went to the project of students from An Duong High School. The remaining two prizes went to projects of students from Tran Phu High School for the Gifted.
