The gifts presented by the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Commune, the Border Guard Station of Lien Huong Port and the La Gan Offshore Wind Power Project included moon cakes, milk, lanterns and school supplies. The gifts not only brought a warm atmosphere to the Mid-Autumn Festival, but also lit up the dream of a bright future when all children have the opportunity to study and welcome the wide-open opportunities ahead.

Mr. Duong Khac Tiep, representative of La Gan Offshore Wind Power Project, presented gifts to children in Binh Thanh commune.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Vietnamese holiday. When the full moon illuminates the night sky and lanterns light up the streets, it is also the time when families reunite and enjoy moon cakes together. Mid-Autumn Festival is also considered a children's festival because on this special occasion, children can enjoy feasts, wear masks, carry lanterns and enjoy beautiful lion and dragon dances.

For some children in difficult circumstances, these small but meaningful gifts will be an encouragement for them to continue to strive to study, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey to seek knowledge. In addition, the program also gives gifts to the children of dedicated officers of Tuy Phong District Border Guard Station, inspiring them to strive to study, practice, promote a sense of responsibility and serve the community.

For the La Gan Offshore Wind Power Project, this activity not only demonstrates the cultural beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival but also demonstrates the project's positive contributions to the local community.

Mr. Duong Khac Tiep, representative of La Gan project, attended and presented gifts in the program and said: “As a member of the project , and also a son born in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan , I am proud to represent a business that has made many positive contributions to my hometown and country . I hope that these gifts will bring joy to the children during this year's full moon season, encouraging and motivating them in their learning journey”.

The La Gan project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), a world leader in renewable energy with more than 50GW of offshore wind projects under development around the world .

The La Gan project , located off the coast of Binh Thuan province, is expected to be one of the first large-scale offshore wind farms in the country. With a planned capacity of 3.5 GW, the project is estimated to provide electricity to more than 7 million Vietnamese households, significantly meeting domestic energy demand and contributing positively to Vietnam’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

The project, with an estimated investment value of US$10.5 billion, is expected to create more than 45,000 full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs, promoting sustainable environmental, economic and social development in the region.

The development, construction and operation of the La Gan offshore wind farm is based on a foundation of connection and responsibility to the community. The project is committed to conducting an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) according to international standards and optimizing the domestic supply chain. This approach helps ensure that the project development demonstrates responsibility and deep respect for local society, environment and people.
