News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 8/3/2025

The global pepper market is showing signs of stability, however, factors such as tariff policies from the US and import demand from major markets will continue to impact prices.

The US's reduction of tax on Vietnamese pepper from 46% to 20% is a positive signal, giving Vietnamese pepper a great competitive advantage and is expected to see a sharp increase in orders in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

Import demand from the US is expected to increase sharply as businesses build inventories for the peak consumption season.

Meanwhile, the depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the USD could continue to put downward pressure on Indian pepper prices, creating price competition in the international market.

Overall, pepper prices in the short term will likely remain stable, but in the long term, with the advantage of the new US tax policy, Vietnamese pepper has great potential to consolidate its position and prices can grow positively.
