The school applies two admission methods: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025. Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung commented that this year's admission opportunities are equally divided among all candidates.

"The majors with benchmark scores of 26 or below will decrease more, possibly double. The majors with benchmark scores of 25 or below may decrease even more deeply" - Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung predicted and commented that this year's benchmark scores also depend on the adjustment and balance between the admission combinations, details of which are provided by the Ministry of Education and Training. The conversion of exam scores between the school's combinations is carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the coefficients announced by the Ministry.

According to the plan, on July 21-22, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure the quality of input for the pedagogical and health sectors, and at the same time announce the percentile table of admission combinations. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) said that this is a new point of university admission this year to ensure fairness for candidates.

In the past three years, the benchmark scores of Hanoi Medical University have generally remained stable. The Medicine and Dentistry majors have high benchmark scores. The admission scores for this major range from 27.5 to 27.7 - only considering the B00 combination (Math, Chemistry, Biology).

From 2024, the school will start enrolling students in Psychology. This is the only major that accepts students based on both groups C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and D01 (Math, Literature, English), in addition to the traditional group B00. In the first year of opening the major, the benchmark score for group C00 reached 28.83 - among the highest in the whole school.

Hanoi Medical University has tuition fees ranging from 16.9 to 62.2 million VND depending on the training program. Compared to last year, this year's tuition fees have increased from 1.9 to 10 million VND per year. The programs with the highest fees include Medicine, Dentistry and Traditional Medicine. In contrast, the two programs of Psychology and Social Work continue to have the lowest tuition fees in the entire school.
