The Mein Schiff 5 yacht (Malta nationality) is 295m long, 35m wide, with a capacity of 2,700 passengers and 1,000 crew members. This yacht has a diverse itinerary passing through many famous tourist destinations around the world. In 2023, the yacht "broke land" in Vietnam in Ba Ria - Vung Tau with 2,370 guests, opening up opportunities to increase international visitors, and since then, a series of other international yachts have continuously visited BR-VT.
On the first day of 2024, the Mein Schiff 5 cruise ship docked at Phu My port, Ba Ria - Vung Tau on its Southeast Asia journey, carrying nearly 2,000 passengers to Vietnam, mainly from Europe.
