Bringing animals back to the forest

The roar of the car engine to overcome the steep slopes broke the silence of the old forest.

But this time, the sound did not carry any threat, but instead marked a special moment, the journey back to nature of wild animals that had been hunted, kept in captivity, and imprisoned.

They are lucky wild animals that survived long days of captivity due to human pleasures and desires. Some were injured, some were exhausted, some had scars deep to the bone. But thanks to the perseverance of the rangers and rescue units, they were healed, cared for and strong enough to return to the forest.

Authorities gather wild animals before releasing them into the natural forest of Chu Yang Sin National Park.
The wildcat, with its natural instincts, remained alert before being set free.
A monkey looks out into the forest before being released back into the wild.
Each wild animal species has a different habitat, so when releasing them back into the wild, authorities must survey suitable living areas.
Since 2024, the Provincial Forest Protection Department has coordinated with functional forces inside and outside the province to release more than 100 wild animals back into the wild, including many extremely rare wild animal species.
