Pacific Skies 24 is a series of air force exercises involving Germany, France and Spain. The exercise is divided into five parts, taking place at various locations around the world . German Tornado fighter jets will prepare for their final international display with a low-altitude exercise in Alaska.

After their deployment in the US, the Tornadoes, along with eight German Eurofighters, four Spanish, four French Rafale and four German light helicopters, will take part in the Berlin-led multinational exercise “Arctic Guardian” to train according to NATO standards.

In addition, a fleet of transport and refueling aircraft - including four German A400M aircraft, two Spanish aircraft and three French A400M aircraft, as well as seven A330 MRTT multi-role tanker transport aircraft - also participated.

Pacific Skies 24 highlights the important role of security cooperation with Germany's partners in the Indo- Pacific region.

Through joint training, the allies aim to enhance their combat readiness and demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the rules-based international order in times of crisis.

German Eurofighter Typhoons have been actively involved in international coalition operations, such as the campaign against the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in the Middle East. These missions often involve requests for close air support, carrying out precision strikes on strategic targets and maintaining air superiority in the combat zone.
