Accordingly, the local education sector coordinates with health agencies to disinfect and clean schools, prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after the storm; ensure school safety conditions and environmental sanitation before welcoming students back to school.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requires localities to plan and immediately implement repairs to school infrastructure, especially prioritizing items that pose a risk to the safety of teachers and students; evacuate students, teachers, facilities and teaching equipment from severely damaged or unsafe areas.

Units should check the tree system, fences, and school gates, and have plans to prune branches and prevent wall and tree collapses. In particular, check schools and educational facilities near rivers and streams, near areas at risk of flooding and landslides to warn or stop students from going to school if it is unsafe.

At the same time, localities ensure timely provision of essential supplies and necessary teaching equipment to affected educational establishments; organize psychological support for teachers and students affected by the storm, especially families suffering loss of life and property. Strengthen coordination with local departments in relief and recovery after the storm; support families of teachers and students suffering heavy losses.

The Departments of Education and Training shall synthesize the damage situation and remedial and handling measures, send them to competent authorities and report in detail to the Ministry of Education and Training before September 15, 2024 for synthesis and reporting to the Government.
