From issue to issue, year to year, the "Reminding the Rhymes" column has persisted in the Hai Duong News newspaper.

The Rhyming Couples column regularly appears in Hai Duong News from Monday to Friday every day.

One afternoon when everything was done, I leisurely walked out to the hallway and met the Editor-in-Chief and immediately started a conversation: "I intend to write a folk song criticism like the column Big and Small Stories, usually signed by the Blacksmith in Nhan Dan newspaper, is that okay?". The Editor-in-Chief, who was passionate about his job and serious, happily told me: "Yes, if you can do it, that's great, just do it and see how it goes."

Because I liked this column, I had been busy writing a few articles before and immediately read the first one to him. It was the article "Eight Golden Hours" criticizing the formal, ineffective and time-wasting way of working. The opening lines were: On time he arrived at the office/ A cup of tea, a cigarette to discuss personal matters/ At eight o'clock he glanced around/ Skimmed through the newspaper to see what chapter/ At nine o'clock he staggered off ... After listening to the whole article, he happily told me: "That's good!". Then he asked for the name of the column...

I thought for a moment: "Let's call this column Rhyme Reminder, it's gentle and not confused with other newspapers." After listening to my presentation, he agreed and assigned me the task. You should take the initiative to nurture this column and build a collaborative force!

Unexpectedly, the first article was published, right after the day of publication, I received feedback. It was during a break, I went up to the third floor with some of the Science and Education Department brothers. One of them said to me: "Your newspaper published an article by someone who spoke badly of us. How disgusting!" Then he laughed, a laugh that was both happy and like someone who had made a mistake. I listened, my heart filled with joy but did not dare to reveal that I was the author.

And so, issue after issue, year after year, the Rhyme Reminder column persists. It attracts more and more contributors to write articles. The content covered is increasingly broad and diverse, covering the negative aspects of daily life. The language of the column always maintains a humorous, witty and sharp quality, contributing to the fight against bad habits...

Now, the column "Nhạc Đôi Rhyme" has been around for nearly 50 years, since the first article I wrote in 1976 or 1977. During that long journey, I don't know how many generations of contributors have written for the column. And the column's name has changed a few times, but in the end it returned to the name "Nhạc Đôi Rhyme". It has become a unique feature of the newspaper, a "specialty" loved by many readers.
