The embankment collapsed on the morning of February 12.

Accordingly, on the morning of February 12, in the Thanh Long islet area (Phuoc Ly Nhi hamlet, Quoi Thien commune, Vung Liem district), a landslide occurred on the Co Chien river embankment with a length of more than 20 m, 5-6 m deep into the bank, affecting the lives and houses of 33 households and 17.2 hectares of fruit gardens. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.

33 households and 17.2 hectares of fruit gardens were affected.

The cause is that the landslide area is located along the curved river (the landslide side), creating a vortex, causing land loss and subsidence, and is forecast to have the risk of spreading.
