Gia Loc will reduce nearly 1,500 hectares of agricultural land

Gia Loc district currently has over 6,587 hectares of agricultural land. From now until 2030, the district will convert nearly 1,500 hectares, retaining 5,087 hectares. Of which, the largest area of rice cultivation will be converted with 1,257 hectares, 140 hectares of aquaculture land, 102 hectares of perennial crop land, the rest is annual crop land and other agricultural land. The converted area is concentrated in the communes and towns of Gia Loc, Toan Thang, Hoang Dieu...

The converted area will be used to develop an industrial park of nearly 578 hectares, build infrastructure of 379 hectares, industrial clusters of 114 hectares, the rest will be used for national defense, ceramic production, construction materials, commercial activities, etc.

That is one of the contents just passed at the 11th Session of Gia Loc District People's Council, term XX.

Converting agricultural land to industrial development, services, trade, infrastructure construction, etc. aims to increase the production value of land, creating a new look for Gia Loc district.
