Industrial and commercial production value forecast to increase in 2024

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh , in 2024, the province's industrial production value is estimated to reach 18,051.3 billion VND; total retail sales of goods and services will reach 59,321 billion VND.


According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh, the province's industrial production value in 2024 is estimated at VND 18,051.3 billion, an increase of 8.05% compared to 2023 (the plan is to increase by 8 - 8.5%). Some main industrial products produced in 2024 compared to the previous year: Wood pellets reached 22,559 tons, an increase of 8.0 times ; Kraft paper reached 9,735 tons, an increase of 2.9 times. According to the representative of the Department of Industry (Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province), currently, industrial enterprises maintain stable production activities. However, industrial production in 2024 still faces many difficulties and challenges, due to the complicated and unstable fluctuations of the world economy ; increasingly fierce strategic competition between major countries, the prolonged Russia-Ukraine conflict, and domestic and foreign market demand has not yet recovered. In addition, export orders have decreased; inventories of enterprises have increased; floods caused by storm No. 6 (Tra My storm) have affected industrial production activities.

Meanwhile, total retail sales of goods and service revenue are estimated at VND 59,321 billion, up 10.99% compared to 2023 (the plan for 2024 is to increase by 10.9%). Of which, total retail sales of goods are estimated at VND 51,020 billion, up 11% compared to 2023 (the plan for 2024 is to increase by 11%); revenue from accommodation and catering activities is estimated at VND 5,060 billion, up 11.1% compared to 2023; tourism service revenue is estimated at VND 550 billion, up 20.9% compared to 2023; other service revenue is estimated at VND 2,691 billion, up 8.7% compared to 2023.

Mr. Phan Hoai Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province - said: " The Department always grasps the production and business activities of industrial production enterprises. At the same time, advises the Department's leaders to coordinate with related sectors to work with industrial production enterprises in the area to remove obstacles and difficulties in investment, construction and production and business. In addition, grasp the operation situation of enterprises in the commercial sector, especially petroleum trading activities to synthesize the situation and advise on proposals to remove obstacles and difficulties for enterprises to ensure the circulation and distribution of essential goods, ensure supply activities, stabilize the market and prices ".
