The price of gold bars at Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC at the end of the week was bought at 119.7 million VND/tael, sold at 121.2 million VND, an increase of 200,000 VND in buying price but a decrease of 300,000 VND in selling price compared to the end of last week. This brought the difference in buying and selling price of gold bars down to 1.5 million VND/tael instead of 2 million VND/tael like last week. Similar to the past two weeks, although the price of gold did not fluctuate much, buyers after one week still lost 1.8 million VND/tael.
In particular, the price of 4-9 gold rings at SJC Company decreased by 800,000 VND after one week, bringing the buying price down to 114.2 million VND and the selling price to 116.7 million VND. Combined with the difference in buying and selling price of gold rings still at 2.5 million VND/tael, the total loss for buyers after one week was 3.3 million VND/tael. Thus, the loss for buyers of gold rings after one week was almost double that of buying gold bars.

In the market, the highest selling price of gold rings was at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company at 119.1 million VND while the buying price was 116.1 million VND, down 100,000 VND compared to last weekend.
The world gold price has dropped nearly 8 USD after a week, down to 3,347.9 USD/ounce. The precious metal is still being affected by uncertainties in President Donald Trump's tariff policy as well as waiting for the interest rate policy from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) this year.
In the short term, there are still many opinions that gold will increase next week. Specifically, in a survey of 15 analysts by Kitco News, 8 people, equivalent to 53%, said that gold will increase and only 1 person thought that the precious metal would decrease. The remaining 6 analysts, equivalent to 40%, predicted that gold will go sideways.
Meanwhile, in Kitco's online survey of 223 individual investors, 138 people, or 62%, predicted that gold prices would increase. On the contrary, 38 people, or 17%, said that gold would decrease, and the remaining 47 investors, or 21%, thought that gold would go sideways./.
