Gold prices today, July 11, in the domestic market were kept stable by businesses at 118.8 million VND/tael for buying and 120.8 million VND/tael for selling. Despite the sharp increase in world gold prices, the domestic market still maintained this stability.
Domestic gold price remains stable
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold is also maintained at 114.2 million VND/tael for buying and 116.7 million VND/tael for selling.
The difference between buying and selling prices remains high, around 2 million VND/tael. The domestic gold market has been quite quiet in recent days.
On the international market, this morning Vietnam time, the gold price was traded at 3,334 USD/ounce, increasing by about 12 USD/ounce in the past 24 hours.
In the last two sessions alone, gold prices increased by about 34 USD/ounce - equivalent to an increase of about 1 million VND/tael.
SJC gold bar and gold ring prices fluctuate within a narrow range
Nervous before "G hour"
World gold prices have increased again as many investors choose gold as a safe haven against the uncertainties of the global economy . New announcements on US tariff policies with some countries have increased investors' concerns. In this context, gold prices have benefited.
Notably, gold prices increased despite the strong recovery of the USD. The USD Index (DXY) is currently trading at 97.8 points, up about 0.18% compared to the previous session.
In the domestic gold market, many investors expect the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings to decrease as July 15 approaches. This is the time when the Prime Minister requests the State Bank to submit a draft Decree amending Decree No. 24/2012/ND-CP on the management of gold trading activities.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 105.6 million VND/tael, 15 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.
In April 2025, the difference between the domestic SJC gold bar price and the world gold price was controlled within a range of only about 3-4 million VND/tael.
