The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just announced changes to retail gasoline prices in the new adjustment period. Gasoline prices in this adjustment period continue to increase, except for fuel oil, where prices have slightly decreased.
Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND140/liter, to VND23,470/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND270/liter, to VND24,870/liter. This is the 6th consecutive time that gasoline prices have increased.
Similarly, diesel price increased by VND290/liter to VND22,640/liter. Kerosene price increased by VND500/liter to VND22,810/liter.
Fuel oil alone decreased by 280 VND/kg, to 17,700 VND/kg.
In this management period, the joint ministries did not set aside or spend the Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products.
Previously, on the same day, September 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued an official dispatch on focusing on effectively implementing solutions to ensure electricity and gasoline supply to serve production, business and people's consumption in the coming time.
According to the content of the telegram, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to determine the output of domestic petroleum production enterprises to have a basis for balancing imported petroleum sources in the coming time, in order to ensure continuous maintenance, absolutely no interruption of petroleum supply for the domestic market. In addition, closely monitor market developments to manage prices appropriately, in accordance with regulations.
The Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct functional forces to strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly detect and strictly handle violations in petroleum business activities; ensure the stability and health of the domestic petroleum market, and prevent violations from occurring.
The Prime Minister requested relevant ministries, sectors and enterprises to ensure the supply of gasoline for production and business activities of enterprises and people's consumption in all situations.
