On the morning of March 29, the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention of the Vietnam Border Guard in coordination with the Border Guard of Ha Tinh province and the Blue Dragon Children's Organization successfully rescued two Vietnamese citizens with signs of being trafficked and forced into labor from the Bo Keo economic zone (Laos) to Vietnam through the Cau Treo international border gate (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province).

The two female citizens rescued were Ms. NTMA, (born in 1994, residing in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) and Ms. QTL, (born in 2002, residing in Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province).

Initial information, using the trick of "easy work, high salary", around February 2023, Ms. NTMA and QTL were lured by human trafficking criminals and lured to Myanmar to work in an office with a salary of 50 to 60 million per month.

When the victims fall into the trap, they are forced to work by using fake accounts on App Price, App Walmark, Facebook, Zalo to defraud and appropriate property of Vietnamese and Chinese people.

Every day, they forced the victims to work 13 to 15 hours and if they did not meet the quota, they were beaten, electrocuted, physically and mentally tortured, and asked to call their families to demand a ransom of 150 to 200 million VND. However, the victims were then resold to fraudulent companies in the Bo Keo Economic Zone (Laos).
