On the afternoon of May 19, the Central Propaganda Department presided over and coordinated with the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work and the National Political Publishing House Truth to organize the announcement and introduction ceremony of the book "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong published in 7 languages: English, Chinese, Lao, Russian, French, Spanish and Dutch.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Head of the Steering Committee for External Information Work attended and chaired the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Thinh, Deputy Director - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said that the book "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" (Vietnamese version), launched to readers on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2022), is one of the publications with strong and far-reaching influence by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
To date, the number of copies printed and distributed of this version has reached nearly 30,000. The book is a valuable document, summarizing the theory of the renovation policy, the unique creative developments of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the model of socialism in Vietnam on the basis of creative application of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought.
Therefore, immediately after its launch, the book received positive reviews and widespread attention from public opinion at home and abroad, as well as deep interest from researchers, scholars and readers from many countries.
That is the basis for the idea of organizing the translation and publication of this book in foreign languages, initially in 7 languages, with the aim of spreading the political significance and directional values of the book, contributing to the propaganda of the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party and State of Vietnam on socialism and the path to socialism of Vietnam to the world.
Thereby helping international friends, readers at home and abroad, and overseas Vietnamese understand more about the country, people, culture, innovation and development of Vietnam.

Appreciating the idea of translating and publishing the book in 7 languages of the National Political Publishing House Truth, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia said that currently, many international friends and foreign publishers have the desire and proposal to translate this book into their native languages.
Therefore, the Truth National Political Publishing House can coordinate with relevant agencies to research and evaluate the level of public interest in the book in other countries, thereby continuing to make proposals for translating it into other languages, in order to serve the research work on people, on the country of Vietnam, on the theory of socialism in Vietnam, helping the book to be shared with people of all walks of life in countries around the world. And for Vietnam, this is also a very powerful and effective foreign information channel.
According to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, the publication and introduction of the General Secretary's book in 7 foreign languages today has both political and historical and cultural significance. He hopes that the book in different languages will continue to spread its valuable values, helping international friends understand more deeply about Vietnam's policies and guidelines for national renewal and development, contributing to consolidating and tightening the friendly relations between Vietnam and other countries.
“We hope that representatives of foreign diplomatic agencies in Vietnam will be an “extended arm” to help the book reach the people and readers of the host country.
