Ha Nam deploys more than 130 security surveillance cameras and handles traffic violations from July 1

(PLVN) - Starting from July 1, 2025, Ha Nam Provincial Police will officially put into operation a camera system to monitor security and order (SOC) and handle violations of traffic safety and order (TSOA) in the province.

The system consists of 132 cameras installed at 129 key locations such as main roads, roundabouts, intersections, and crossroads with traffic lights. This is part of the Project "Procurement of equipment for digital transformation and Project 06 in the Provincial Police Force for the period 2024-2025, with a vision to 2030", approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

Notably, the entire new camera system is equipped with modern artificial intelligence (AI) technology, allowing for intelligent identification and searching. The camera can record many violations such as: running red lights, speeding, driving in the wrong lane, not wearing a helmet, carrying more people than the prescribed number, and at the same time support tracking subjects to serve the investigation, ensuring security and order in the area.

Data from the cameras will be centrally managed at the Provincial Police Command Information Center, operating according to the standard model of the Ministry of Public Security .

The deployment of this smart monitoring system is expected to contribute to raising awareness of law compliance among traffic participants, preventing accidents, and effectively supporting the fight against crime. This is also an important step in the digital transformation roadmap and building Ha Nam province into a smart, modern and safe locality.
