
According to Hanoi City Statistics, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in July 2025 in Hanoi is estimated at 75.1 trillion VND, down 1.5% compared to the previous month and up 9% over the same period last year.
Of which, retail sales of goods reached 46.3 trillion VND, down 2.6% and up 8.2%; accommodation and food revenue reached 11.3 trillion VND, up 0.6% and up 9.1%; tourism revenue reached 2.9 trillion VND, up 1.9% and up 13.4%; other service revenue reached 14.6 trillion VND, down 0.5% and up 10.5%.
The commodity groups with high retail sales growth compared to the same period last year were: Gemstones and precious metals increased by 37.7%; wood and construction materials increased by 26.4%; other fuels (except gasoline and oil) increased by 15.5%; gasoline and oil increased by 10.6%; cultural and educational items increased by 5.6%; cars increased by 4.2%; food and foodstuff increased by 3.8%; garments increased by 3%; other goods increased by 11.8%...
In the first 7 months of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached VND 531.2 trillion, up 11.9% over the same period last year.
Of which, retail sales of goods reached 336.6 trillion VND, accounting for 63.4% of the total and increasing by 11.8% (gems and precious metals increased by 26.9%; wood and construction materials increased by 15.6%; gasoline and oil increased by 11.5%; cars increased by 11.1%; garments increased by 10.5%; food and foodstuffs increased by 10.4%; other goods increased by 14.1%).
Revenue from accommodation and catering services reached VND72.8 trillion, accounting for 13.7% and increasing by 15.9% (accommodation services increased by 21.3%; catering services increased by 15.2%). Revenue from tourism and travel reached VND18.8 trillion, accounting for 3.5% and increasing by 19.5%. Revenue from other services reached VND103 trillion, accounting for 19.4% and increasing by 8.4%.
