A possible face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the world's two largest economic powers is expected to be held within the framework of the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in San Francisco, California from November 11-17.

However, US officials have not disclosed the location and time of the meeting. Meanwhile, President Biden also confirmed to the AP news agency that the meeting is "possible".

"No such meeting has been held yet, but it is possible," he stressed.

Previously, the Washington Post on October 5 quoted an anonymous administration official as saying that the possibility of the meeting was "quite certain" and "we are starting the process" of planning.

The US-China summit, if it takes place, is expected to play a role in easing tensions between Washington and Beijing as relations between the two sides have hit an all-time low, mainly due to opposing views on Taiwan and the East Sea.

Most recently, the US Department of Commerce added 42 Chinese companies to the government 's export control list because it believes these companies support Russia.

According to Reuters , the US Department of Commerce announced on October 6 that it would add 42 Chinese companies to the government's export control list, citing the companies' support for Russia's military and defense industrial base.

According to the agency, the companies on the list have supplied integrated circuits of US origin to Russian companies linked to the defense sector.
