About 133km from the center of Thanh Hoa province, Kho Muong village nestles in Hua Muong valley, surrounded by primeval forests of Pu Luong mountain range.

The climate here is cool and fresh all year round. The road to the village has been paved but still has enough challenges for visitors to fully experience the magnificence of nature.

Coming here, visitors can not only immerse themselves in the pristine nature, but also explore the ancient culture, imbued with the identity of the Thai people. The traditional 3-4-room stilt house made of wood, with thatched roofs, is still preserved intact.

A destination not to be missed when coming to Kho Muong is Bat Cave (also known as Kho Muong Cave). Hidden in the heart of the mountain, Bat Cave is a magnificent geological masterpiece, belonging to the Karst sedimentary system, similar to Phong Nha - Ke Bang area.

The cave entrance is over 10m high, opening up a cool, dark and mysterious space. The cave is high and wide and can accommodate hundreds of people at the same time.

The deeper you go into the cave, the more space there opens up. Inside the cave is an area that the locals call the “big room”. It is a wide, flat rock field, about 30 meters long, like a natural stage located in the middle of the mountain.
